Here is a small explanation on the modularity of the PCB.

PCB v2.7 Color3p.jpg

If you do not need the MIDI connection : do not mount the brown part.
If you do not need the USB connection : do not mount the green part.
If you do not need the external power supply : do not mount the red part.
If you do not need the LCD nor the keyboard : do not mount the pink part.

So, why do you include both 74HC4851 and MAX4558? Overspill issues?

With the MAX4558, there is overspilling if the piezo signal is too strong.
With the 74HC4851, there is no overspilling if the piezo signal is too strong.

But if the pad is too hot, you're loosing dynamic range ...

So you can use the one that better fits for you ! ;)

A "hot pad" is a piezo pad which is too sensitive and which produces a voltage too high for the microcontroller.

Yes, your PCB v2.7 and your 11 ICs were sent.

how about a step by step guide for beginners to have set all the components?
is easy to set all the sensitive parameters?like a roland td-3 one?

I´m interested in the megadrum, but before all,i want to know if it´s easy to finish after buying sintex kit.

thanks in advance
