2x20 LCD LMC-SS2A20

Hi

Ok so I found an old Switch with LCD and buttons that I am wanting to use for my build (see link viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2310 ). This LCD is however not a 2x16 but a 2x20, I am trying to build from as much available resources as I have without spending more than the board I am buying from Dmitri so I wanted to see if anyone knows if this will work? It uses an NT3881 controller which is compatible with the Hitachi HD44780 as specified in the schematic and it has 16 pins. But will the Firmware know how to format the text correctly or am I not going to be successful with such an LCD?

If it is HD44780 compatible then it will work. Only first 16 characters in each line will be used.

I am looking forward to buying a board and getting started at the end of this month.
