Yes, Ignotus is correct, it's impossible for my Switch to make a contact; from a hit.
But, I do hope that I can get it to work this way, so that in the future I'll add a physical switch in parallel so I can do touch choke and physical edge switch detection.

But if you add a physical switch, can't you just do the choking with that? With a 2-contact normal switch, presumably the threshold will be different to a 1-contact "touch" switch and won't set off the edge note when it shouldn't.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Ignotus; I personally think there's a big playing difference between the two. The touch choke is so similar to a real drum playing feel, it's just awesome. As of yet, I haven't seen or played a physical switch cymbal that doesn't feels clunky. That is why I'm hoping to have my edge choke stay a touch choke and also incorporate a small physical switch for edge triggering.

I'm with you there, the touch choke is brilliant. Have you seen these? I bought a few but haven't got round to installing them, just tested them to see if they worked. There are 12" ones but they cost about twice as much. Still, you could stick a 10" one underneath a cymbal even though it's the wrong diameter and it would make a nice choke switch - not at all clunky.

Is the edge input connected to the metal surface of the cymbal? If so, then it serves as an antenna picking up electromagnetic interference from piezo hits on the bow and is bound sometimes to false trigger.

Dmitri;
the edge trigger is not connected to anything. It's a piece of metal that's attached to a PVC film (~1/8" thick) (isolating the Edge Strip); the PVC is then attached to the Cymbal. The Cymbal has a 3/4" strip on the outside edge that has the PVC film (used for dampening the cymbal) removed. This exposed strip of Cymbal is next to the Metal Choke strip. The Cymbal is connected to Ground (using copper tape, as I just can't seem to get a good solder connection). When I use my finger/hand to connect the two (Metal strip to Cymbal) the Megadrum detects it. I've attached a picture of my Cymbal for reference.

Just the same as ignotus suggested - set Edge Note. equal to Bow Note. Otherwise you need to eliminate the electromagnetic noise on the edge input.
