Happy New Year everybody!

I have now finished the first "prototype" and it's working quite well.
- 16 piezo-pads (for the moment) and
- 2 jacks for optional foot pedals (hihat pedal, bass drum pedal).

The optional bass drum pedal (35mm piezo) is already working (even so the pedal itself is not yet optimized).

For the optional HiHat-pedal I would like to have it pressure sensitive (using FSR sensor) in order to register the different positions of the HiHat being opened or closed. Let's see...

After all I think I found a balance of a good sensitivity with an acceptable level of crosstalk (it only occurs when hitting the wooden case, but not really when playing the pads).
I am quite satisfied with this mock up, but I'm sure it can be improved (e.g. a robust housing for the connector would be nice).
However, I'm already quite happy with it and it really makes fun to play! :D

I may post a video demonstration as soon as I find some time...

Have a nice evening,
Stefan

Wow! Very nice ! What have you built the wooden box of...it is printed "ikea" on it...:-)

For the caps...have you cut them to make them less high?

Best Regards

The wooden box is an ordinary fruit bowl. And yes it is from IKEA... :D

The caps are not cut, they are original like that.
