Yes, but if it's a piezo/switch 2-zone pad it's even easier: just follow the instructions for the edge and ignore the bell instructions. Set all the notes in the 3rd Zone section to 0.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

I can post my settings, but given that different builds can require wildly different values and that my hi hat pad is just single zone, I don't think my settings will be of much use to you. First things first: Did you set up the cymbal pad correctly? Does it send a different midi note for bow/edge? Set all the notes for the hi hat pedal in mdm to 0. Once you have the pad set up, go through the process in AD: Press "learn" (the "L") beside "CC HiHat Shaft", and without touching the pedal, hit the edge. Then, do the same with "CC HiHat Tip" and hit the bow. I had to check the "CC Reverse" box in AD's hi hat pedal settings; try that. If you get proper bow/edge notes from your MD and mdm shows the pedal level going up and down when you press it, I can only guess that the fault is in AD - your MD is sending the correct information but for some reason AD isn't processing it properly.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.
