Very strange. Before concluding that there is a hardware problem can I ask you to do the following:
1. Connect it to another PC/Laptop which has no MIDI software installed or better yet to a 5V USB phone charge.
2. Power it up while holding the button RIGHT (built-in into the right encoder button) pressed. It will force it to fallback to all defaults regardless of any saved settings.

After that, does it still freeze in the same place again?
Does MIDI LED keep flashing all the time?

Dmitri I have spent over a week, everyday and every night on this machine trying to get it to work, I am over it...

If I send it back to you and you find nothing wrong with it then I'll think seriously about if Megadrum is for me and perhaps ask for a refund.

If you do find something wrong with it then can you make me another and test it thoroughly before sending. I have just wasted too much of my life on this.

I did what you said, reset the machine.powered it from a USB charger

1) Upon powering up with right button pressed, is it normal for it to immediately page quickly thru the menu, no system initialized confirmation dialog?
2) It no longer freezes at Load Rom map or Save Config after cold reset
3) The MIDI light still flashes and from what I can deduce its from the pedal input. There is inconsistent behaviour between the impedance switch, new algorythm and MDM crashing, the unit not holding its settings,
3) ipad commander pedal notes control different parameters to MDM, their assignments are jumbled, that wasted hours!
4) I have carefully copied the settings for Roland cy15R from angry77 site that work for everyone else but they are way off for me. Not even close, weird choking of the bow, no edge

You again throwing everything into one pile and it seems there is no point in trying to help you. I'm pretty certain there is nothing wrong with the module and problems are due to the wrong approach to configuration. Any way, please PM me to go on from here.

I appologise for my tone the other night and am taking a couple days off.

Dmitri and other contributors I would like you to know that I am glad that Megadrum exists. I do like its parameter options. There is nothing else out there that matches the concept and its freedoms.
