Setting up a Roland PD120

Postby Skit » Sat Aug 26, 2017 1:08 pm

Just picked up a used megadrum and I'm trying to connect my Roland PD120 to it.
I'm using megadrum manager fx to set everything up, but honestly, with very little in the way of documentation available out there (that I can find at least) I'm struggling to get things up and running as desired.

As recommend in a previous thread, I'm using a voltage divider which seems to have somewhat helped, but I'm still experiencing issues with random triggering and velocities.

I also downloaded a few patches from previous threads, that didn't seem to produce the desired results.

So far, I've managed to get the drum producing sound via ezdrummer, with okish velocity range - but I feel it could be better.
Problem is, if I try playing any rolls or anything too fast it starts missing hits or double triggering.

For example: I can play 8th notes at 120bpm without issues, but If I start hitting 16th notes the issues will occur.

I've been playing around with megadrum fx manager to varying results, but like I mentioned before, I've only found the outdated video on the main site to go off on and its left me rather confused.

Can anyone off anything if the way of guidance here?

First, read through the Documentation which details every setting: https://www.megadrum.info/content/megad ... figuration
