The magnets in hard drives are made with neodymium - they work perfectly well.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Its working :-)
On the settings "hihat pedal misc" I have all options off and my low level is 40 and my high level is 210.
The magnet has to almost touch the sensor for the closed sound though. Really really close. I still have to find a way to mount everything.
Next will be the task of succesfully calibrating my pcy135 for 3 zones :-)

If they're hard disk magnets, snap them in half and join all the halves together - it increases the overall strength and thus the minimum distance.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.
