I never did resolve the problem although the last firmware helped a little

I just took a break from the hihat and focused on other stuff and was hoping it would sort its self out

here is a lidi log of me hitting my snare 4 times
I only have to be able to lower the hihat threshold a few points (2 or3) in order to make it playable (where it should be ) 2 or 3 points makes a big difference

1. In the MIDI Log you pointed to HiHat MIDI events with Note 8. I don't see in any of the screenshots you posted any inputs with Note 8.
2. Why are there HiHat controller messages in the Log (CC 04)? Are you moving the pedal at the same time? Have you configured the HiHat pedal settings properly at all?

oh damn I did changed the note (seeing is a different note would give different results) I forgot to post the change here it is
please use the midi log with this

the strange part is none of my other cymbals do this I took the hihat apart to see if I could see something out of place and it looked fine all the connections were good (tested with a multimeter) and nothing broken

also the MD/pedal is looking for the hihat cymbal at the last port (54) and it is disconnected for troubleshooting just to take the pedal out of the equation for troubleshooting purposes
my hihat is actually in port 46/47 (so it should be acting like a regular cymbal ( I did this for trouble shooting )

also here is the updated config file

1. Judging by the MIDI Log, the HiHat cymbal triggers no less than 40-120ms from the Snare. It looks like your HiHat cymbal and snare are mechanically linked.
2. Still, why are there HiHat peddal CC messages in the MIDI Log? Configure the Pedal LowLevel and HighLevel so that CC pedal messages are not generated when the pedal is stationary or is not connected.

mechanically ? you mean like it is picking up vibrations from the other drums? ... hum .. i don't think that is the case .. i had that same though . so i took the hihat off and set it on the couch on the other side of the room and the snare was still triggering the hihat ...(the mystery is afoot ... lol )

i am not pushing the pedal ,, on any of the tests will set the levels again and get back to you when its done

thank you for helping me with this
