Ahh! I get it! I am using my e-cajon...without any LCD or rotary encoders etc...so I am completely blind on this implementation! :-)

Then it is hard to enable it...:-)

Take your time! I will wait until you launch a new version of MDM.

It is still fantastic to get new functionality in firmware with a lead time of 1 day...World Record!!! I love this forum, platform and you Dmitri!

Hi again!

It seems like it is still sending double midi streams on my iPad to the drum app I am using. (I have verified that the checkbox is checked)

I have a midi monitor app installed on my iPad that also is telling this. Some errors?

I do see this problem also on my MAC in Logic. No difference between disabled/enabled of the Midi2 ..checkbox.

Best Regards

1. "MIDI2ForSysex" setting is only saved in EEPROM if you changed it from the Menu and then exited from Menu or if you used 'Save to Slot' in MDM
2. I double checked it again on my Mac and when 'MIDI2 For Sysex Only' is checked in MDM (and sent to MegaDrum) I don't get any Note On/Off messages from the second port. I monitor it with MIDI Log in MDM.

Strange.

I have reloaded the firmware. (Just in case for not having mixed up the a and b version of 20150110).

I am using the "save to slot" method and when reading back the "Midi 2 for sysex" - this setting do remain enabled.

But when using it - I get double note on/off on every hit on my MAC and on the iPad.

Looking on the MDM midi monitor...where I am using midi port 1 for in/out...it is only showing one hit regardless the state of the checkbox. In your tests did you dedicate port 2 for MDM? Then I am guessing you won't see any hits?

One question...I am using the STM32F103RBT6 (The A version) in the cajon - could that have any impact to the scenario?

Best Regards

Indeed, I forgot to make the change in the STM32F103 USB MIDI stack. Please download it again, I now checked it with STM32F103 version both on Mac and Windows.

:-)

Dmitri - It works beautifully now!!
Fantastic! Tested it on iPad Garageband, Alesis DM-Touch and Drums XD plus the midi monitor app...and it looks and triggers great!!!
No more double on/off notes.

Many thanks for a nice implementation!! This is great stuff! This could be useful for other purposes also. I will show the whole scenario in a video I have been working on for a couple of weeks - This was the last issue! (Even MDCommander works great for tweaking parameters - even if it starts to be old)

Best Regards

I can't seem to get rid of the blue font on the 'pads'. It seems to be updating on MD but without colour change.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Sorry, I don't think I understand what the problem is.
