I've ordered a 2.8" screen, I'll report on how it works out. I was looking at similar 3.2" screens but the pinouts looked a bit scary, so I settled for a smaller one that seems to have the same pin configuration as the 1.8" one. I think 2.8" is quite a generous size anyway.

One word of warning. Some LCDs models I've tested have bad power filtering adding a lot of noise on the inputs. I had to add an extra 4.7-10uF capacitor between power tracks of such LCDs.

Thanks for the tip - so what are the symptoms to look out for that would mean the cap is necessary?

One more question: the screen description says it works with 3.3v or 5v, but reading comments from other buyers, someone said that it would only work with 3.3v logic. Maybe it was just his unit that had a faulty regulator or something, but if that's the case would it be enough to bring down the voltage going into Vcc to 3.3v with a voltage divider?
I'm well aware that buying cheap Chinese stuff is a gamble...

Inputs without anything connected will start auto-trigger with higher Threshold than with a good LCD.

I cannot tell anything about this. LCDs I have work with 3.3v logic even though they're powered by 5V.

Ok, thanks. So it should work regardless - I don't have a clue about these things but I saw those comments in a few places and thought it might be relevant.

Hi Dmitri, I just received the 2.8" screen and am trying to get it hooked up. First I updated to the latest firmware. You mentioned that I should bridge pins 12 and 13 of the LCD connector (had to make a custom jumper because these pins are diagonal to each other), but the screen does nothing. If I leave the jumper on pins 13 and 14, the screen lights up but there's nothing on it. I don't want to try any other combinations in case I fry something... Any ideas?

Sorry, it should be pins 11 and 12.
