configure your ride edge threshold to 50 or higher, I just kept bumping up the edge threshold until it sent an aftertouch message on megadrum. My bthreshold is at 30 right now as well, I have not fine tunrd these settings yet but all 3 zones trigger.
56 input Megadrum644, Tama Iron Cobra, Taye, Sonor, Roland, Yamaha, Gibraltar, Tascam.

Btw: i always thought threshold up means less sensitivity?

Threshold for switch inputs bears different meaning. Look at the MegaDrum documentation: http://www.megadrum.info/content/pads-settings. Also look at "Set All EdgeSw" and "Set All BellSw" in http://www.megadrum.info/content/miscelenous-settings
