I thinks the instruction works very well.

Question - Could the midi-log be used on step 5 and 6? When you are looking on the MD LCD and see the raw value - you don't see the VU big meter at that stage. I think it is abit hard to determine where 5-10%/90-95% of the mechanical level for open/close of the pedal really are. Could the midi-log be used to hit the actual 90% of midi value 127 (Which is 113 and 10% of 127 which is 12)

If you press your pedal so you see the value 113 in midi-log for the pedal...please look at the MD LCD and read the raw value for high level ---add 10 points to the raw level value.

This is why I added (almost closed)/(almost open) in both cases.

To me it seems counter intuitive - CC values are correctly representative of pedal's position only when LowLevel/HiLevel are already properly configured.

I can confirm that the setup instructions are spot on, I can set it up no problem.

Going back to the functionality....

However, I am still getting quite a bit of bounce from the VU meter when between fully open and fully closed. Even adjusting CC RdcLvl doesn't get rid of it.

It was very steady in 20121207_V3 ...but I can see some bouncing near the fully open in the official release 20121208.

Best Regards

YES!! I just went back to 20121207 version 2 (or 3) myself to confirm and there is no shake in the VU meter... works flawlessly...

something went backwards in 20121208

ibanman555, angr77, did you increase RdcLvl from default 0?

Yes. In firmware 21021208 I did adjust the RdcLvl from 0 to 1,2 & 3 and it didn't help.

I noticed in 20121207 the raw level values changed as my LowLevel and HiLevel values were adjusted, and this wasn't the case in 21021208.

"raw level" in 20121207 was normalized against LowLevel and HiLevel. In 20121208 it is real raw (oops) "raw level" to be explicitly comparable to LowLevel and HiLevel.
Please, try this firmware:
