I'm trying to find a post on the forum on how to wire in an on/off power switch. I feel that I have searched pretty thoroughly but not sure if I missed it somewhere in a post. I apologize if I overlooked anything.

If you are not using the jacks PCB then the easiest way is probably to wire a switch in series with the positive usb lead that goes from the usb jack to the usb header on the board. If you are using the jacks PCB's then you can just put a switch in series between the jacks PCB positive power lead to the mainboard .

Either way, it's just a switch in series that cuts off power to the board from your computer.

If you look at this image, it would go on the red wire that goes between the main board and the jacks PCB.

Wow thank you so much that helps a lot! Last question if you don't mind me asking ( I am new at understanding wiring concepts) how would I wire in series exactly and would the switch have to be a certain voltage to work? Btw thank you so much for posting your colored traces image long ago. It helped me immensely when checking my board for issues

No problem man. In series simply means that you would cut the red wire and insert the switch inline, so the two poles of the switch would connect to the two red ends you would have once you cut it.

You are dealing with 5 volts and about a half of an amp or less (500 ma). I think almost any switch would work, but if it has a rating, these are what to look for. Anything at or above those will be fine.

Glad the colored traces helped you. They helped me a lot in tracking a short that I had early on.

Hello everybody!
Short question: is the right value of the electrolytic capacitor in the top right corner of AllInOne board v2.5 47uF (as written on the silkscreen but not in the components list)?
If yes, do you think 16V would be enough or should I go with 25V?

Yes it is a 47uf radial capacitor. Just to play it safe I would go with the 25v as that seems to be the standard for most of the components on the board.
