yeah I saw this, only problem is I don't know how to interpret what I'm looking at... lol
I need it drawn out like this.

I think I got it now. I think In 1 and In 2 represent tip and ring, so I just have to connect either a trim pot or a resister to both the head and rim peizos

Yes. That is right, although this could be done with only a single piezo if you only had one that was hot. It doesn't have to be done if the pad is not over 850 to 900 according to Dmitri.

I also found that if I don't attenuate both my head and rim, then the rim will often trigger instead of the head piezo when striking the head, even with all kinds of settings and measures. This is on my Snare though, I still have not got around to bothering with rims on Toms so I don't know if the same holds true.

My guess would be that Hart manufactured the drums to have a decent balance between the head and rim "heat" and thus if I only attenuate one of the two, the other is too hot in relation and throws off the recognition of which part of the drum you are striking.

I would have to say that you are probably right. Most of my drums are single triggers so I don't worry about that much, but I can see where having one too hot would definitely register on the other.

Im not sure how I'm not doing this correctly, but I've tried both a 10K-ohm and a 47k-ohm resister and I'm not seeing a difference.
here's how I've got it connected.
I've got the resistor connected to the 1/4 jack. One end is soldered to the Tip on the jack which is hwere the black cable of the Head Peizo is also connected, the other end is soldered to the sleeve of the jack which is where the Red wire from the Head and the black from the rim peizo is connected.

Am I doing this wrong?

Sounds right to me. Are you sure you're not hitting the pad that is connected to the ring? Sorry if that sounds stupid, but it could happen.
