wow im lost here lol ... ok.. but if megadrum manager says 4/5 for snare and im only plugging 1 dual zone jack into 4 port 5 is the ride (in the picture) cymbal where would I connect the ride ( it was already counted for in mdm with the snare (4/5) the next instrument on the list is ride 6/7 so what do I do with the physical port 5 ( do I leave it empty?

snare 4/5
ride 6/7

I'm not sure I understand the problem description. You just plug your snare into the Snare jack (inputs 4 and 5, labeled as Snare in your picture) and you plug your ride into the Ride jack (inputs 6 and 7, labeled Ride in your picture). What jack 5 are talking about?
You also must remember that all jacks, except Kick, are stereo so each stereo jack has two inputs, i.e. Kick jack is input 1, HiHat jack is inputs 2 and 3, Snare jack is inputs 4 and 5, and so on.

or do I just count each port as 2 such as aux 1 is 22/23 eccept the kick and hh controller ? then what about 3 zone cymbals how would I count then as 2 or 3 ?

If the socket says ride then plug the ride in. It is the fifth socket but that doesn't refer to the input numbers in MDM.

If it's only a mono pad/cymbal the just disable the edge/rim input

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Exactly

As I understand it is 2 jacks so you would need 2 sockets

Yes my ride ihas 2 wires ...so how would I hook that to 1 port?

I do appreciate the help its just a little confusing

It startedcwhen I was putting in a second cymbal and set it as a/ a# but when I hit it it triggerd d# which led me to think its in the wrong port ..so my next question is how do I know what port to put it in ... the default for all aux triggers is d#

Roland type 3way cymbals use 2 sequential stereo jacks. See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1968
