I have a Roland PD-125

I tried the settings from your website and several other values - just take a look at the video.

I'm looking at your mds file. When I use 'Save to Slot' with it, MegaDrum indeed becomes unresponsive. At the moment I don't know what is causing it but I have a few notes:
1. Don't use 'Alt Sampling Alg' until you've got it working with the default sampling algorithm. As far as I know, only one person tested the alternative sampling algorithm and there were some issue.
2. If you use MIDI CC messages for HiHat pedal positions, don't set HiHat pedal notes to 0, set them all equal to notes of the HiHat cymbal!

I'm still looking into it.

For positional sensing, please create a separate topic with a detailed problem description and how you configured it - 'several other values' is not really very descriptive.

Enabled 'Alt Sampling Alg' is indeed the cause of MegaDrum hanging after 'Save to Slot'. Thank you for reporting the bug!
For now, just don't use it while I'm coming up with a fix.

Hi Dmitri,

this is really fast support :)

1. OK I disabled the 'Alt Sampling Alg' - I will now have to increase thresholds - my pads are gone wild :)
2. I have a VH-11 - so there are two values for the cymbal. I will set the HiHat pedal notes to the Head-value from the cymbal - ok?

I will open a new thread for the positional sensing - but maybe it works without the 'Alt Sampling Alg'.
Sorry for the "several values" - but i tried so many things - i really don't know any more what I tried in what order :)
I will work that out again.

Yes, it is expected. The 'Alt Sampling Alg' allows to set Thresholds lower so when you disable it, inputs may start 'auto trigger' if Thresholds are set too low for the default algorithm.

You set all pedal bow notes (Bow SemiOpen, Bow HlafOpen and etc) equal to the HiHat cymbal's Bow Note, all pedal edge notes equal to the HiHat cymbal's Edge Note and all pedal bell notes equal to the HiHat cymbal's 3rd zone Note.

While testing a fix for this bug I discovered another - saving a config to slot n will corrupt config in slot n+1. I will come up with a new firmware version by the end of the day where both bugs will be fixed.

Hi Dmitri,

good to hear that you found the problem. So I will wait for the new firmware.
Will flashing the firmware erase all config-slots?

I started with default values today (held right-button while power-on) and tried to tweak the settings. I was able to save to slot 5 a lot of times. But I got mad because of note 63 coming from my snare which is set to note 38 (head) 44 (rim) and 37 (rimshot/dbnote) - hope this will be gone after flashing the new firmware. To me my Megadrum seems to be totally in a mess - maybe slot 5 got corrupted too (MDM didn't show any 63 to me).

Maybe a cause for the beginning of my problems: I used the Megadrum-USB-Connection for MDM running on my laptop to twek the settings AND I used the Megadrum-midi-out at the same time with my Win 8.1 PC to get sounds from AdDrums 2 (Midi-In- not connected to Megadrum). Could this force such a behaviour?

Regards
T.

The new firmware will make any configs saved in EEPROM ineligible so if you came up any configs you'd better save them in MDM.
You can use USB and standard MIDI at the same time - it should not affect anything.
If you have an unexpected note coming from an input then we need to look at it in a separate topic ... after I come up with a new firmware later today.

I just published a new firmware version, 20150410, where both bugs should be fixed.

Hi Dmitri,

thanks for the firmware!
I flashed it and did some tweaks. Saving is fine now - I am now using the old algorithm - but my Megadrum won't produce any midisignals after a "save to slot x", it's not totally unresponsive as I can use the rotary encoders to move in the menu. After a reboot my saved config is loaded and I can use it. So for now a simple "switch of and on" is working for me. I have to do a lot of tweaking to get my pads working again. I will tell you in a new thread, if there are any of the other problems (ghostnotes/positional sensing) left.

regards
T.
