What are the wattages for the resistors? they look like 1/4watt in all the pictures I've seen, but none of the parts lists say. Also there are several different types of capacitors, none of the lists say what types to use. any help would be appriciated.

Yeah you're right, this thread really bursts at the seams.

So, let me just announce:
My module now works!!

I did not yet get the lcd to work because i need to buy a new pot tomorrow, but the usb midi functionality works just nice! I connected one piezo fixed on a plastic cymbal to the board, and when I hit it the led lits up as well as midi notes are sent. 'Did a little finger drumming with a snare sound in my s/w synthie and the triggering seems to be pretty accurate even without any parameter tuning.
Thank you, Dmitri and Synthex!! I can hardly pronounce how great this is to me (I was very close to spening some more or less large amount of $ into a r0land, al€sis or yam@ha module) - MegaDrum is exactly what I need. I'm so proud also of having it soldered myself....

Next I'll build a nice case for my megadrum and finish building my diy drumkit....I'll keep you guys informed.

The power rating for all resistors is 1/4 watt.

The voltage rating for all capacitors must be no fewer than 10 volts.
15pF, 22pF, 100nF, 470nF must be ceramic or multilayer ceramic
1uF, 4.7uF must be electrolytic or tantalum

I have checked the part list and I see some differences from version 2.4. The one I doubt about is:

1* 7805

What IC is that?

Another thing. I have seen that with the new kit you get four 74HC4851's and four MAX's. Does that mean that you get eight multiplexers so you can use the one that better fits your pads / hot pads? If so, I am interested in buying you a kit.

The 7805 IC is a voltage regulator.
It is used only if you don't use usb (ex : to add more inputs to your commercial eDrum module).
