When MDM matches notes to inputs/zones using received note numbers, it does it via a best guess but if some inputs/zones have identical note numbers then MDM may incorrectly color it in the MIDI Log. In your case you hit the head which has Note 45 assigned and you get MIDI from MegaDrum with Note 45 so it triggers correclty but MDM incorrectly assigns the color (meaning) because you have the same Note number assigned to the 3rg zone but you don't see settings for the 3rd zone because you incorrectly configured your pad as individual 2 pads on inputs 12 and 13. Set Type on the Head to 'Dual or 3way Yamaha' and you'll see settings for the 3rd zone.

im at my wits end just when I think everything is going great this my mdm is triggering d#4 when I hit drums ( in drum learn with bfd randomly )

the crazy thing is I removed ALL notes from the whole system and was using my own notes from scratch everything was going great then my china cymbal started triggering like crazy (like I can see it triggering but no sound was made si I was still able to use it ) and even when I pull the wire out of the md it still triggers unless I put the wire halfway out my china cymbal (single zone simmons) ....

also the weirdest part is it started to trigger randomly d#4 when i hit other drums like snare toms or other cymbals BUT IT WAS ALL COMPLETELY REMOVED ..where is it pulling it from ?

I tried different wires too the china only hyper triggers in aux 7 port
I pulled the china wire out of the aux port 7 and put it into aux 8 and the triggering stopped but im still getting the random PHANTOM D#4

what did I do wrong ...also I do not have any stray wires pluged into the md to act as an antenna

here if my config file

Tom6, 3rd zone is where the D#4 is coming from and there are a couple things that stick out that aren't helping your cause.

Would you mind trying this and letting me know if it's any help.

Airflamesred :-) great stuff!

Back to the issue...when seeking after errors in MD...using MDM...I often use the function cc triggerIN - a check box found in the Misc panel in MDM. (You need to do a send in the misc panel after have enabled the checkbox) What will happen if you now have problems to find where the trigger signal is coming from (with false trigger hits)...MDM will now graphically jump to the triggering input. If you have several problems...it will jump between several inputs.

A very useful function. Don't forget to switch it off afterwards and press send.

well with some playing I think im starting to get it

kick = done
tom = done
cymbals trigger done (but no mute/choke)
setting up the hihat = no done
setting up the 3rd stage on the ride not done yet

all that's left is the hihat & pedal and ride and how to set the cymbal choke (where you grab them to mute the cymbals ) on my roland cymbals.. I already have something Dmitri posted for me to look at for the ride setting

is there any info or an easy guide setting up a roland fd-8 pedal and a cy 12

I only need basics open when up and closed when down ... I have no clue what most of the other stuff is that most drum plugins offer ...shank... 1/2 shank and t open ect.... thanks guys your the best I cant wait to post videos of this monster set :)

the main guide is way to complicated ... I guess im not that smart to understand it lol
