Yes, updating now works! (with Midi-OX)

But by the way it does not works with the MCT software. @elrules, you have any idea for this?

Thanks

Seems like you have corrupted firmware. But you should be able to flash ATMega in PonyProg though.

Last night he decided to use Midi-ox to update his megadrum, previous firmware was erased ok, and apparently the new one was installed but the megadrum was empty, the firmware was not installed correctly. And he decided to use ponyprog and the firmware loads till 95% and it stops with an Error No Write.. and it says "decive damage or unknow decive (-24)" and now MCT cannot "speak" with MD any more. ANy ideas?

Without seeing precise steps you took to upgrade firmware using MIDI-OX I can only say you were not doing it right. You must not have tried to use PonyProg.
How did you even decide to use PonyProg without even knowing pinout on the PCB in the MegaDrum module I sent to you?

Dmitry,
Your fuse settings do not have the CLKDIV enabled. I think this means OSCCAL is not loaded automatically on reset (because OSCCAL is for 25 deg C @ 1MHz). As your bootloaders do not calibrate this clock the flash may be being programmed out of spec'.

Sorry to bug you, but waddya think?

I'm at a loss... In the past I've been able to update the FW along these instructions with no problems but had no success with the latest firmware (20100212). I can send the erase sysex ok but when I try to update the firmware - nothing. No MIDI light blinking, just the Send SysEx now message on Megadrum's display. I have followed every single step as meticulously as always, many times over. The FW file is correct, output buffer size set, MIDI port chosen etc. Basically now I'm stuck with a Megadrum with no firmware.

I've recently switched from XP to Windows 7 64bit - does this mean it is not supported?
