I think we've all seen that. However, before the incident with the MCT everything worked fine via USB in this exact case (at least as far as I understand).

The thing is that, provided there are no electrical problems on the board, the original Synthex's firmware may work for some time with no problems and suddenly stop working for no apparent reason. This is due to ungrounded an PGM pin (26) in the original Synthex's USB implementation.
