Yamaha RHH-135 hi-hat settings

Bow/edge/bell notes with the pedal in the open position are taken from the HiHatB/E settings.
Bow/edge/bell notes with the pedal in all other positions are taken from the HiHat Pedal settings (BowSO/EdgeSO/BellSO/BowHO/EdgeHO/BellHO/BowSCL/EdgeSCL/BellSCL/BowCL/EdgeCL/BellCL).
This is needed if the sound software/sound module doesn't support CC04 for pedal positions.

If the the sound software/sound module supports CC04 for pedal positions than BowSO/EdgeSO/BellSO/BowHO/EdgeHO/BellHO/BowSCL/EdgeSCL/BellSCL/BowCL/EdgeCL/BellCL should be equal to bow/edge/bell notes in the HiHatB/E settings and the sound software/sound module should take care of modifying HiHat sounds based on CC04 messages. How it is done in SD2 I don't know.

Thus I'm 100% positive SD 2 uses CC4. That is the only way it makes sense. So basically I can forget about the OpenLvl/SOpenLvl/HOpenLvl/ClosedLvl parameters meaning that everything comes down to adjusting highlvl and lowlvl values.

Other values can apparently not be changed as well like for example ShrtChckTh and LngChckTh. I have no idea if it has anything to do with this but there is still one annoying thing left. I can't get a proper chick sound, there is always a cymbal ringing produced at the same time and I have to press really hard (impossible to do fast chicks like this) in order not to get multiple chick sounds. Experimenting with the lowlvl value hadn't any effect on this ...

If the SD2 supports CC04, than it is it's responsibility to take care of all HiHat sounds based on the pedal position. Set Chick and Splash notes to any value, e.g. 0, to which SD2 doesn't respond and configure SD2 to produce relevant sounds based on CC04 messages.

this is my first post.

I started this week my journey on setting my conversion kit.
At this moment I am stuck on the HiHat - RHH135 (The reason why I am posting on this topic - should I create a new one?).

MegaDrum as standard comes with Roland polarity for the HiHAt controller jack. Yamaha HiHat controllers use opposite polarity so with them you have to use a crossover cable: tip-to-ring, ring-to-tip, sleeve-to-sleeve.

Ok, the switch is set to high impedance, so i disabled the Alt Input now. As for the Reverse Levels, i really dont know - guess i saw on config pics - disabled it too.

Got some progress: now when its open, VU is full red, when i press really hard, VU is empty.
I think the question now is if i could smooth it down to go top to bottom, without this much pressure.

Hello, a little update:
I got it to work poorly (it does not run smoothly yet) with this settings:

Highlvl 900
Lowlvl 500

Curve: Exp1Custom6
Hihat Input: 2

Alt Input off, high impedance switch UP
Reverse levels off
Soft Chicks off
Auto levels off
New Algorithm off
Chick Delay 2
CC Number 4
CC Reduction Lvl 1

However - If I play any other pad, the VU meter goes crazy up and down all the time.

Need some help to figure this out.
