Yes, it's just a shorthand method of writing 4.7K. You will also see it with M or R as in 4M7 or 4.7M and 4R7 or 4.7. It was originally a problem as with reprinted schematics and such, the decimal wouldn't show up well and could get missed.

Before I post some wise-ass pics I need to be sure I haven't fucked anything up.
Positional Sensing IS working with my self-made precision rectifier, but it increased the VOut of my snare by 4 times. Before I took it out again I noticed that nearly all my other pads had a increased HighLevel by about 4 times. Haven't turned HighLvlAuto off yet, and before the rectifier all my pads were at 200-250, with the rectifier nearly all of them are at over 900, so I took the rectifier out again, but still the high HighLevels remain... Tried AllGainsLow but that makes my pads just less sensitive (could never reach a velocity over 80 no matter how hard I hit)
What now?

So what HighLevel do you get with AllGainsLow and HiLvlAuto set Yes?

with AllGainsLow and HighLvlAuto I get over 900 on the snare with Gain 0 and most cymbals still (HiHat is a bit different, but I will start an own thread on this)
Pads are down to 200-350 again.

@Dmitri: I like to submit you a proposal:

It is time to "piss of" the impertinent old and expensive ROLAND modules with bad sounds far away from here to the moon and using modern VST drum sounds like Toontrack! But we all need a alternative well working triggering solution for this! And please without any extra soldering jobs like "voltage dividers" and "full wave precision rectifiers" and so on!

Let me explain:

To play E-drums with a close A-drums feel it is in my opinion compelling necessary to use modern full drum shells with stereo dual center triggering cones and a rim trigger with 2-ply meshes! Like the E-drums pads from drumtec and Diamond Electronic Drums are do.

But sorry for this: The MegaDrum converter is right now not able to use those mesh drums with an optimum as maybe possible. For example: ROLAND modules are not allowing to play a real dual stereo hit on the drum with a stick!!! In real conditions a "rimshot" hit sound generates when you hit both head and rim points at the same time! But ROLAND modules suppress artificially those playing technique and the MegaDrum module does not! Because when you use very sensitive preferences for the Head trigger for extremely detailed performances you automate got trouble to use the rim trigger without getting false and crossover signals from the close head trigger! Remember please that the analogue piezo triggering system is very simple and certainly not optimal for using to drummers!

So what does ROLAND do: They cheat simple!!! It doesn't matter if you hit really both areas (head/rim) at the same time you will just hear one sound! (remember a real "rimshot" sound generates only with hitting both areas at the same time) The MegaDrum could do this but with above described problems.

For the future there must be come a completely new triggering technique without piezos with a direct communication from drumstick to the hit area on the completely drum set and cymbals. I don't know how it should works but this is far away to the future.

So what can we do?

My idea is that this community collect an extra donation for each person for about 5-7 EUROS for @dmitri and from this money @dmitri is buying - I would say a reference dual stereo 14" mesh snare - from drumtec (diabolo) so that @dmitri is hopefully able to optimize the MegaDrum module for those reference drums with all features like postional sensing to get the best results with mesh drum systems without using ROLAND modules.

@Dmitri what do you think about this?

@maplesnare I really think it's not suitable to hijack a thread about a new feature that is being tested for your commercial intentions, especially since you already opened another own thread for this in this forum...

Pads went down (except the snare) but all the Cymbals are still high...
I will start a complete new config from scratch for my HiHat-dualzone-problem and we'll see how high they are afterwards... :)

Hello Dmitri,
to do some tests with a precision rectifier, i've order 2 LMC6032, and for some reason, i've check its specifications on raidospare (a french distributor) and it's says that this opamp is not rail to rail. (see here : http://www.rs-particuliers.com/WebCatal ... 44018.aspx ). Is there several versions of the lmc 6032, some are rail to rail, some are not?
Do i have to test with my LMC6032 or is it waist of time?

It doesn't have to be rail-to-rail - it can go down to the ground and that is enough. I tested with LMC6034 so LMC6032 should work just as well.
