how many people are in the bulk order so far and how many to go until it can be ordered?
or would it be better for me to buy the chip have it delivered to you, you put the protected boot loader on then send it to me?

thanks again
marc

Count it in this thread. And I already told it must be 10 people.

I already told you multiple times that I don't do this.

These new firmware files can only be loaded with a new, protected, bootloader. To keep this new bootloader secure, it must be programmed into Atmega by me

but then you say this in a reply to me.

Sorry, I don't do this. If go "DIY MegaDrum" way then from me you can get only Atmega644 with the programmed protected bootloader. See viewtop ... f=3&t=2147

is the protected bootloader part of the firmware?

just a bit confused on the protected bootloader part, sorry to be a pain still.

thanks
