Megadrum Newbie - 32 input module with V-Drums Help needed.

Hi all,

I have been scouring the forum for weeks trying to track down any info that will help me get my 32 input module (build by Dimitri, 15k resistor on HHCtrl Input) up and running with my Roland V-Drums pads and cymbals. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful so far. Is there anyone willing to share their settings for the following pads and cymbals? I am primarily triggering NI Komplete 9 (Studio Drummer, Abbey Road Drummer, etc.) and Addictive Drums. In all cases, I'm using the Roland TD series drum map.

I'm loath to give up my Megadrum module and go back to a Roland TD module, but I'm not really a 'tweaker' and I am having a really hard time getting it up and running. Your help is greatly appreciated.

My Kit:

KD-85
PD-85 x 3
PDX-100 x 2
PD-125
CY-12 R/C x 2
CY-15R
VH-11

Thanks,

Rick

Thank you, but I have already tried many of those files. Though it's likely user error, they do not seem to load correctly into into the current version of MegaDrum Manager on OS X Mavericks (Java 7.x). I have tried several, but to no avail.

1. Describe the problem you have.
2. Show screenshot of your settings.

Please, one pad/cymbal at a time.

Hi!

I had to try for myself...using a MAC with Mavericks...and besides the problem when you download the files...the Mac seems to save the files with the *.txt extension...which gives problems when you try to open them in Megadrum Manager(MDM). (It looks for *.syx) but if you instead use "all files" in the dialog you can see the files with txt extensions...and open them.

MDM can handle two kind of formats - MDS and Syx. Syx is used to store individual drums and they can only be opened in the PAD Panel in MDM by pressing load.

I was able to build a drumset in MDM with 5-6 files from the MD library on my Mac. However - I can see that you need a couple of PADs which I don't have in the library.

Best Regards
