expression pedal in hi-hat jack

Just got my megadrum. loving it! took me a few days to config with my trigger setup. As far as using a single foot pedal as a CC controller, What is the set up to make this work. I'm getting continuous control cc midi but some other parameter is causing the action to be more like momentary switch.

If your VST/soft synth understand CC 04 for pedal positions and act accordingly then set all BowSO/EdgeSO/BellSO/BowHO/EdgeHO/BellHO/BowSCL/EdgeSCL/BellSCL/BowCL/EdgeCL/BellCL notes equal to Note on the HiHat cymbal for all relevant zones.
If your VST/soft synth doesn't understand CC 04 for pedal positions then set all BowSO/EdgeSO/BellSO/BowHO/EdgeHO/BellHO/BowSCL/EdgeSCL/BellSCL/BowCL/EdgeCL/BellCL notes to desired notes for desired positions.
