do I still need to send this in to be updated? or can we now do it out self ( without taking the megadrum apart)

also how do I determine what is my midi channel the system is using for the mega drum?

thanks

If your MegaDrum is with the protected bootloader then you can update firmware yourself whenever I release a new version.

A MIDI channel is independently configurable on each input. By default all inputs are set to MIDI channel 10.

All MegaDrum modules built by me after June 2010 are with the protected bootloader.

I know you probably have built 100 of these but would you know when my was built ( I contacted you in 2014 ) but not sure if you made it fresh or it was one you might have pre made?

Of course I build it afresh. Besides, yours is ARM based - all ARM based MegaDrums are with the protected bootloader.

Yours is ARM based with STM32F103RCT6. When upgrading you must use megadrumSTM32b_* firmware files.
