Hi, and awesome work!

Hello all,

Found Megadrum after doing some research on trigger to midi devices..
I am only really after trig/midi functionality because I use BFD to gig/record with.

Looks exactly what I'm after!

Have you seen/tried the Aquarian On and In head FSR heads?
This was what I'm looking at to retrofit an existing Hybrid kit, FSR tech seems to me to be the best way to alleviate a lot of the issues with piezo based systems..

Keep up the great work!

Hi.

Reading about the Acquarian on-head...they always need the Inbox( an Acquarian box which includes the power source etc) and then you are able to connect it to Roland, Yamaha and 2Box modules....and of course in case to a MegaDRUM module! :-)

Some tweakings is maybe needed...but no big problems.

Best regards

Yeh, you do need the box, but it looks like it mounts securely.. and maybe you could even hide it inside a home made pad...

To me the FSR design pad appears far superior to a "vibration" based trigger system, even though they are soooo much better in appearance and functionality now, as compared to a few years ago...

If it works... of course.

And not having seen an OnHead, I was wondering how funky they look sitting on the tom head?? ;)

Keep us posted on the FSRs.

I remember them being used in the Simmons Silicone mallet, many years ago, and I think there were question marks over their longevity.

There are a couple of Youtube vids on the FSR heads, from users as well as Aquarian.

They look very usable, i think there is a user review at vdrums too, i'll try to find the link.
