Problem with one Port on MD from Dimitri

Hi,

i just received my megadrum. Great peace of hardware.

But i have an, in my opinion electrical, Problem:

When i put a Stereocable in the Ride-Port it get false trigger events when i hit the snare or the kick. But not when i hit the toms. Even when i connect a stereo cable without a connected pad i get these fasle triggers. So it is not a mechanical Problem at all. By the way only the Edge/Rim port triggers!

When i set the Threshold to about 50, i did not get the wrong trigger signals. But with that i could not adjust my PCY150S to trigger soft hits.

Till now no other port hat this Problem at all.

Thx for your help

Have you installed Megadrum manager?

Did you configure your PCY150S as piezo/switch/switch? It appears that you didn't and that the Edge/Rim is still set as piezo and as a result it behaves like an antenna picking up electromagnetic interference.

That's what confuses me:

I take this settings : viewtopic.php?f=3&t=293&start=120

No XTalk at all :-)

But i only get Rim/Edge hits. no Head/Bow at all. When the piezo is connected to the Head i should get head hits.

Btw: Turned the poti of the 150s to max and get a high level of 550.

Btw: Positonal Sensing on a 14" DIY Snare works like a charm.

Following viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1968 you should use viewtopic.php?p=24665#p24665 as a guide for setting up 3 zone Yamaha style pads/cymbals
