Hello from Berlin,

I have 4 mcu pic 16f874 and 1 -877 from an older Midibox Projekt, can i use theese for MD and
is it possible to program a sustain or other controller events to all notes and key-notes ?
I wont build a Vibra/Marimbaphon style Megadrum to play regulary notes from c-C",
because i'am not a drummer! :D Thanks.

Regards

No, you cannot. MegaDrum uses one of these MCU: Atmega644, Atmega1284, SMT32F103 or STM32F205
For a fully DIY MegaDrum you can use only Atmega644.

Megadrum will work great for this usage as any other triggering (even mini will do job for you probably). You have many solutions on the net, it's up to you which you want to follow. Do some research little.

I think that MD has good features and i have a look on the old octapad II, but theres a limited input of 12.
and the edrum (from 2008). But i miss the schematik of the 48 or 56 channel version, or i have potat.. /sunglases) on my eys! 8-)

THX, it looks like, what i need, i will try out to build this!
But with the zip parts (files) and a lot .suffixe, iam not so familar.
Wich files/file are most important to program the Atmel (and PIC)? .sch, .lib, .brd .....?
Is the PIC firmware from the MD mini kit? I know, a lot of questions.

edit: the pic 16f question deleted
