Issue with Yamaha HH65 hit hat controller config

Postby vince153 » Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:44 am

Hi,

After having issues with my DYI FSR-Based HH controller, I decided to reuse my old Yamaha HH65.
I first verify that it works fine with a Yamaha drum module.

Then I convert the pedal to fit a hit hat stand (If someone is interested, I can send photos).

Now I'm having issue concerning the config with MD. Try many config (AltIn, Reverse levels, etc.). I can get it to work properly.

I read some post. I have the 32 input module built by dmitri with the firmware 20141022.

If someone can help, I'll really appreciate it.

Thanks.

First of all, as far as I know, all Yamaha HiHat controllers use reverse polarity, i.e. power on tip and signal on ring. MegaDrum uses standard polarity, i.e. power on ring and signal on tip. So you have to use a crossover cable.
Second, its impossible to help with "many config". Post settings for a specific config, how you came up with this config (most importantly how you set LowLevel and HighLevel) and what problem you are having with this config.
