Megadrum PIC18F2550 USB problem on WIN 8.1

Hello friends Megadrumers!
I am having a problem with my Megadrum on Win 8.1 32bit and 64bit.
I recently installed Win 8.1 on my computer (HP Flexible Thin Client T610) and I am having problems with USB MIDI when I connect Megadrum to USB2.0 port.
In device manager I can see that Megadrum is not recognized, it is reported as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)", and when i open properties I get following massage:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed."
But when I connect Megadrum to USB3.0 port everything is working O.K.
I need to use Megadrum on USB2.0 port since both of my external HDD's must be connected to USB3.0.
Is there maybe a problem with Megadrum 18F2550 USB descriptor (BOS descriptor) that is preventing Win 8.1 to recognise it when connected to USB2.0 port?
My Win 8.1 has all updates installed, updates that deal with USB problems are also installed but Megadrum is unrecognised when conected to USB2.0 port.
I tried few Megadrum PIC18F2550 firmwares, and used few diferent chips but problem persists.
Just to mention that I never had problems with Megadrum on WinXP and Win7, it was working fine on USB2.0 port of this same computer.
I hope there is solution for this problem.
I am hoping to get some help for this problem.

I'll try to test it some time this weekend but it will be in a virtual Win 8.1.

What kind Of MD are you using? 644, 1084 or ARM?

I can't see any problems in W8.1 and USB2 using an arm based MD.

Just tested an Atmega1284 based MegaDrum with PIC18F2550 on a virtual Windows 8.1 (in VMware Fusion) and it worked with no problem.
Of course this test differs from a hardware Windows 8.1 you have but I don't have a PC/laptop with Windows 8.1.

I am definitely having problems with my MegaDrum 32 (with USB-MIDI PIC18F2550) when connected to USB 2.0. on WIN8.1 (even though I don't have problems with other USB peripherals when connected to same USB 2.0 ports).
I can use my MegaDrum 32 only on USB3.0.
@airflamesred What firmware version do you have in your PIC18F2550?

20140809, but I don't see as that being the problem.

@airflamesred
I tried few PIC18F2550 firmwares but the newes one I found is 20110718 (12MHz).
I tried to find firmware for PIC18F2550 that you mentioned (20140809) on this forum but I found only firmwares for STM32, 1284 and 644, no mention of 18F2550.
Can you point me to download location for 20140809 firmware for PIC18F2550?

airflamesred refers to MegaDrum firmware version and his Atmega based MegaDrum might be using PIC18F14K50. Latest PIC18F2550 firmware is in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=702
