AtMega32 Version of Megadrum

I have a few questions:

1) Is the Atmega32 version of megadrum that you have schematics posted of compatible with the current version of MDM, given the last unencrypted firmware version (20100516) loaded on it? I built the Atmega32 version, but I keep having Midi issues, (and yes I have looked on the forums for a resolution, to no avail). I thought I would ask the question if MDM was still compatible with the old version of the firmware.

2) If not, would upgrading the Atmega32 to an ATmega644/Atmega1284 chip help? (assuming its a drop-in replacement)

3) Is there a more current schematic of megadrum that uses the ATmega644, Atnega1284, or the STM32F103XXXX chips?

Thanks,

A.

MDM requires the latest firmware version to work properly.

You can replace it with Atmega644 with protected bootloader to be able to use latest firmware versions. It is a drop-in replacement.

The Atmega based schematic in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=266 is up-to-date. STM32 version comes only with kits and modules but if you want to see its schematic then it is in "MegaDrum kit - instruction manual.pdf"
