This is very helpful! Can anyone vouch for whether these are all the correct parts for this project. Only ask because High Line mentioned at the beginning of his post that some things may be wrong.

Thanks for any info,
Jman 31

Hey Jman,
When I get all of my parts and put everything together I'll let you know if it works or not.
I don't know why nobody is tell me if they are correct or not, I guess I'll find out by
trial and error. I figure if I can save myself $100.00 usd by buying them by myself, yeah me.

Thanks guys. I am going to get your kit synthex, as soon as I can come up with a little extra cash. I will probably order the other parts from this site that HighLine came up with (great list by the way HighLine!) when the time is right because I think it would be cheaper also.

Hey!

Can anyone recommend a suitable rotary encoder? I can't say I know what I'm looking for, but 'rotary encoder' seems to return optical stuff around the £50 mark :S

Thanks!

EDIT:

Things like this :( http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/Sensors/Encoders/Rotary-optical-encoder-128-cycles-per-revolution/80807/kw/incremental%20encoder

Btw, the link for this encoder(and all other components) is in a Definitive order list.pdf in "Complete definitive list of materials to order with links" thread.
