My new Megadrum

Hello together,

now I belong to the megadrum users. I got my MD since 3 weeks and did now my first steps. So I'm very unknowleded on this whole E-Drum thing. Therefore I would need some really basic first.

Meshheads: How tight does they need to be?

My Equipment:
-Remo Silent Stroke Meshes
-Yamaha Trigger DT50S (Tom+Snares) + DT50K (Kick)
-Yamaha Crimbals - Ride PCY-155 // 2x Crash PCY-135 // RHH-135
-Audiointerface: Focusride Scarlett 6i6 2nd Gen
-Mac Airbook
-Software: EZ Drummer 2

When I installed everything I really struggled with all these 100.000 options megadrum provide. But before I go into details I did have one very big problem that occured. I did find a precet that was OK. And at the beginning I did have a great sound though MD and EZ Drummer. But after a cupple hits on the drumset the signal get very low. Let say I got only the have output. When I turned it off and on the signal and output was good again but only for a short time. I have no idea if there a general settings i need to do first.

If anyone could help me that would be great.

Thanks!

Dear Dimity,

thanks for your reply. I saw the pad setting already. but this do not really answer my questions.

Or I'm over read the answer to my question. What do you recommend how strong does the mesh needs to be. Or is this irrelevant?

Thanks, Sven

My understanding is that the heads need to be tight, tighter than acoustic heads.
You also need to pay attention to the height of the cone.
Run through the set up procedure and see what happens.
