Is there a specific JRE recommended for this? What host OS are you guys using? I've been playing with these previews on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop with JRE 1.6.0_23 currently installed but cannot seem to get the newer releases with the MIDI log to work. The version posted on Jan 16 is the last one that I've been able to load. The three following releases all leave me with a stranded javaw.exe process, but no application.

You may need to delete a previous config file, megadrummanager.cfg, in "C:\Users\Your User Name".

Yup. That was it. How shocking that I was over thinking it. :-) Thanks!

A new preview version:
Code: Select all
deleted, see newer versions in later posts

Proper handling of configuration files (previous config files are incompatible).
Added 'Save to Slot1'
Fixed saving/loading curves to/from a full config file.

Hopefully fixed another bug with loading last saved config.

dmitri,
please add option with immediately send changed element to Megadrum when user edit it in MDM. And maybe also add immediately reread pad settings from Megadrum when user select another pad in MDM
i.e. make it more interactively and more like as edit directly with Megadrum menu.

That sounds like a good idea sanik_s, but there should be a more clear indicator that this option is enabled (like a big red top bar or frame with a warning)

Yet another, still preview version:
Code: Select all
deleted, see newer versions in later posts

Added a "live updates to MegaDrum" option. Only for pads settings for now.

Dmitri, the combination of the live update and the scrolling color-coded MIDI log panel is proving to be a very constructive tool!

I am in the mist of rebuilding my set from its prototype stage into a final permanent configuration and the MegaDrumManager is simplifying much of my efforts. Your development of this application is deeply appreciated!
