Hello everybody,

Been away for a while and my megadrum project has been on hold for about a year. But now that I've got the time to resurrect it, I have a few questions. Here's the first. Can anyone direct me to information about the Roland PD 8 and its use with megadrum. I seem only to get a very low, pretty un-useable output from the rim sensor and a higher, but still low, output from the head. Has this topic been covered before and can anyone help by telling me where? Thanks.

On dismantling the pad I discovered that it's of the piezo-head / momentary, normally-open switch-rim variety. Now trying to figure out the best way to use this configuration. I'm going to check out the links you gave now. Sorry to hear about your being forced to encrypt future firmware versions but fully agree you made the right decision. May have to look into getting this new bootloader contraption. Currently running 20090624.
