What the system behind the USB port to recognized the different hardware? Whenever we switched the different hardware (camera, memory stick, scanner, printer etc) plug via USB port. How my system recognized it as different hardware.

There is programming on each usb item (peripherals that you connect to computer) that installs drivers and tells your computer what it is and how to deal with it. In the case of Megadrum that programming is on the PIC18F2550 micro-controller.
