I still need to make the midi wires and an on/off switch, but basically I guess I'm done. I wish there were more great projects like this on the web.

HaHa, I already have some that I made. I use a DM-5 that I picked up on ebay. What I meant is that "I" am not a drummer. My band mate uses them all the time. I just don't have the time to get the midi stuff all set up for him and he hasn't got the first clue how to do it. It's much easier for him to have all of the sounds right there at his fingertips. Even if the sounds are lacking somewhat.

Well being the dumbass that I am, it never even occurred to me to use the MD with my Alesis DM-5 module. I finally got my MD packaged up and ready to use, and then it hit me. It worked great! Now I just have to make some stereo splitters or new cables for my drums since all of mine are mono. This will really help to get a more realistic feel for my HH and maybe get some multi-zone cymbals. I am still stuck with the Alesis sounds, but they aren't that bad.

Anyways, here are the pictures of the completed package. I used a case from a Free-to-Air Coolsat Receiver.

The only trace problems I ended up with were in the same area you showed. I etched the board and then I carefully cut in between the traces with a sharp knife to make sure there were no shorts.
