(2) I'm a drummer, but I'm also an avid marimbist. I was wondering, is there anyway with the config tool or some other way I can change the sound that is output. I'm thinking of building an electric marimba front end to your module. By the way, your module is amazing. If it can do this it will fulfill one of my dreams, to have an electric marimba without shelling out $4000.

The Megadrum is "only" a triggers to midi (usb) converter.
You must use a sampling software (BFD, Toontrack, Addictive Drums, ...) to produce wide variety of drum sounds.

(3) Given where I live (and if you can do it, stacked jacks on the 56 input) , what would the price be?

hey synthex, got your kit the other day and put it all together, connected it up by usb and it works.. awesome. Very nice kit and many thanks for putting it together for people.

just got a few questions, i've connected it without the keyboard because the buttons i've ordered haven't arrived yet. What exactly should the lcd be displaying in this setup? (can't find anything about this in any of the guides) Right now it's got underscores on all boxes but the first (top left), which is completely illuminated. (it shows the "megadrum" splash screen then goes to this screen)

I'm asking because there are two of the joins on the lcd connections that i think may be shorted but i can't seem to get the solder to come off, i'm not familiar with how the pcbs are made, is it possible i've worn off the protective coat and what i'm seeing is the metal from the board and not solder? and can i just file that away to break the short? or am i just being silly and the lcd is showing what it is supposed to?

The LCD is showing what it is supposed to. This screen will show activity if you attach a piezo to one of the inputs and tap it.
