Just a note for the US buyers, but I just sent 55 euros to synthex and it was $83.14 over paypal. I can't wait to build it!

Is the pinout the same as this one ?

No, these resistors are not superfluous.
They are not used for ESD protection.


Actually I can't figure any use for them except that 0.1V drop. But what for? MUX and µC are powered with the same +5V line. Nor HC4851 or ATmega docs doesn't mention any additional circuitry, so I deduced those resistors are unnecessary.

R1-R8 are for ESD protection when connecting/disconnecting Analogue board from Digital board. They're not needed if both Analogue and Digital board combined into one. R9-R16 are required to conform with less than 10k ADC external source impedance. Without them MegaDrum won't work.

Do you think the ADC4-ADC7 inputs (on ATmega32 board) will be ever used?

For a 48 or 64 inputs version ;)
