Got a megadrum

Hello everyone! This week I got my megadrum from Dmitri and it took less than a week.

First of all here are some pics of my actaul rig, a new Dell notebook will be added next week. I use MCT and Battery to control all the midi to trigger functions and because of this setup the configuration didn't took more than two days.
I tried the Megadrum with my new Drum-tec pro meshheads but I wasn't 100% satisfied with the response.

Setup:
4-channel di box for PA and live shows, all mono there (kicks, snares, toms, cymbals)
M-audio Profire 2626 interface, Battery shows 7ms latency. My headphonesare plugged in there on the right.
Yes the Megadrum, doesn't it fit perfect in there.

I use Coroplast 302 to match the inputs on the megadrum and the cables.

Yesterday I switched back to the acoutic head and muffled all drums pretty much with foam and tape.

The foam touches batter and reso heads and the trigger response is adequate for my needs. Actually there still a tone coming from the drums it's 100% dry and with headphones it's still better to hear than non damped drums. Without damping the ringing and the other noise makes the attack very muddy and there it's very very difficult to set up the triggers correctly matching to the playing and to response right.

Thanks to the custom curve editor I tweak the settings to get one constant volume of 76 out of all drums. This wasn't even possible with the TD-20.

The megadrum works pretty well but I got one problem with the trigger response. Sometimes after the hit it triggers a 2nd stroke on the same pad, it's almost at the same time and you can hear it because the triggered sample gets louder.
I don't know which settings I should change to solve it.
Maybe someone knows what I can do against it?

1. Is it double triggering? Is it first or second note that has higher velocity? Describe the problem in more details.
2. What type of pad is it?
3. What are all the settings of the pad?

I think the first one is the one with higher velocity. Like on the picture in my 1st post I trigger an acoustic kit. Actually I know most of the settings and how to use them, but mabye you can give me some more informations about dynamic level and dynamic time.
I use now 8 as dynamic time to get fast rolls triggered, I don't have any problems with one stroke bursts with this setting, altfalsetrigsp is also activated. Without I get bursts and more crosstalk problems ...

I'm asking about the pads details for a reason. If it is a mesh type pad than they have a longer first half wave signal compared to other pad types. To accurately measure the first half wave you may have to increase MinSan - generally the bigger the mesh pad the longer a half wave and the high value you need in MinScan.

DynLevel and DynTime both influence fast rolls and double triggering. The higher DynLevel and DynTime the better double triggering suppression and the harder it is to get fast/pressed rolls. In general with mesh type pads it is more difficult to find the fine balance between double triggering suppression and fast rolls compared to rubber pads. In my experience AltFalseTrigSup is better suited for mesh type pads.

Also, for best fast rolls/double triggering suppression results you need to make sure your pads are not too "hot".

You are misunderstanding. I meant that when AltFalseTrigSup is set to Yes MegaDrum uses a different false triggering suppression algorithm which I reckon works better with mesh type pads. You still need to tune DynLevel/DynTime.

I raised dynamic time to 16 and also changed latency and min scantime to my preferences.
Works pretty well now. AltFalseTrigSup works better with acoustic heads in my opinion, at least on my kit.
