3 zone cymbal support, Yamaha style. How many of you need it

All the three zone works good without problem of crosstalk , only if i decrease the resistor with voltage divider under the cymbal the hard hit in the bow send a some velocity signal in the edge channel, is a electromagnetic noise?

The edge/bow only trigger when a corresponding switch is shorted, electromagnetic noise cannot trigger them. My guess is that hard hits on the bow cause the edge switch to make/break because of vibration.

I believe it is not a problem from a physical "communication" because i've removed all the rubber from the pad and the problem is the same.

Only turning the trimmer in halfway or near the " - " symbol the rim/edge note disappear , the only solution for now is to raise the gain to 4 or 5 and decrease the threshold level to 10

An high Peak signal from Piezo can be interfere with other channel of the same MUX ?

I'm waiting if other users have the same problem, you still have your PCY135? You can do some tests with it by raising or lowering the resistance value with trimmer? thanks.

Are you talking about a voltage divider? Did you solder it correctly?

Only by electromagnetic interference.

I have a PCY135 and I don't use any voltage dividers. I don't get any false triggering on the edge however hard I hit the bow.

Oops, didn't even know there was a built in trimpot! Turned out it was set to maximum all the time. Even when set to maximum the cymbal is very far from being "hot" so no need to turn the trimpot down. Anyway, I just tested it with the trimpot set to minimum and still no false triggering on the edge even when hitting the the bow very hard.

I use shielded cable, what are other solution to contrast the electromagnetic interference?

Check the soldering quality on your board.

For the last question i would know which Megadrum module version you use with the PCY pad. Previously i've posted two link about two different version of Megadrum module, I think are different because the first link is 32input single side and the second is double side with SMD component.

For example i have tested my pad with the synthex v3.2 kit, and you?

I'm sure in this case not are a problem of settings but on the Pcb board/solder quality.

I followed the configuration hints, but what I got is: wherever I hit it - it gets choked.

Here are the settings for the Ride input to load with MDM:

pcy135.zip

I only set HighLevels, Thresholds and Notes to get separation between 3 zones. I didn't touch any 'dynamics' settings and of course you may want other notes set to trigger desired sounds.
