I think doing the same thing but with two 40-pin connectors on the two PCB to have a single cable to connect.
And add the USB connector on one PCB.

But this is not this order ... You have done by modifying cables order of the multi-conductor cable.

Yes, maybe someone can make "real" PCB layouts where channel rearranging isn't needed.
1 to 1, 2 to 2 and so on..

I started the two PCBs for 32 inputs :

Is that logical to have 17 trigger ports (not 16)? No big deal really, just an odd number.

Is the PCB layout intended to be cut into 2 boards?

For 32 trigger ports would it just be another set of the same?

Not knowing the pin out details but I assume what you are talking about is being able to use a staright thru ribbon cable and keeping port's in a logical order?

Yes, Kick and HH Pedal have only one input.

Excellent Synthex. I would be interested in purchasing the kit plus the trigger interface boards for 32 channels. Let me know how it's progressing and the cost for the interface cards once it is done. I'm assuming you are actually going to make these PCB's?

I have not yet planned to produce the trigger interface boards for 32 channels ...
Is it peoples would be interested ?

Are the traces on these boards large enough to carry the input signals without noise or corruption?
