Anders, did MIDI Log and CC stop working for you as well?
ibanman555, maybe you had Pedal Type changed to Pot from F.Contr for some reason?

Alright, reloaded 20121210 again with success. I suppose I may have switched that by accident. Everything seems alright now...

Testing...

At this point I am quite happy with where we are at. I can get great sounds from my VST with the hi hat control and due to the steady VU, I can program and play the sounds without a problem.

Hi!

The 20121210 seems to work fine. My VH-11 hihat gives a raw level between 32 and 482. I am using a 15K resistor(TIP/RING) which makes it a bit more smooth and a little wider spread between the pedals high and low level.

I have made a small movie clip from Addictive Drums when I am using the VH-11 and the firmware.

The midi log works fine in MDM.

(I also saw that the new firmware also included files for the new ARM based MegaDRUM module!! - Very nice Dmitri)

Hi,
my DIY Hall-Sensor HiHat Controller works also very smooth with the new Firmware. With older Versions it works but with many tweaks in Addictive-Drums and MD. Now it’s very easy to adjust.

Hey everyone...

I'm gonna bump this topic up again after taking a few days away from it for the holidays. After further testing and evaluation, both Nicholas and myself have experienced more frustration getting these hats to work as they should.

I've seen in other posts that users with a Roland VH-12 hi hat and TD-20 are able to work successfully with Superior Drummer. The first thing is that I am using version SD2.3. Apparently it is important to have this upgrade first. I have gotten great results with the action of the hats from open to closed. I am also able to play fully open and fully closed and it sounds correct, but once it get anywhere in the middle, it is very intermittent, playing all sorts of random hat sounds. Also, I notice a while back that if I were to close the hats extremely slowly from the fully open position, when I almost get to fully closed I get a midi note, and I assumed that would be a foot chick. I was unable to locate the actual note from this action, and assigned it to a 'foot chick', but that caused havoc all over again. I've adjusted RdcLvl with no help, and I've tried to configure the hi hats per Superior Drummer's instruction.

I will continue to try to work this out, but my next question is...

Is there anyone out there who can troubleshoot with Superior Drummer 2 (preferably updated to 2.3 or higher) and a VH-11 to compare, as these two triggers are fairly similar? Obviously the VH11 has been configured with success in the past, but wondering what results they get with SD2... wondering if there is a major compatibility issue with that and the VH-12. Thanks, and here we GO!

I'm not sure I understood the problem right but if you don't want MegaDrum to trigger Chick and/or Splash notes you can set HiHat Pedal->Chick and Pedal->Splsh to notes which are ignored by Superior Drummer.

Oh, I most certainly would like to have chick and splash functional.... so I suppose I should turn those on and/or try to assign them to the appropriate note #... :?
