Questions from a newbie

Postby ne3go » Sun Apr 14, 2013 11:51 am

I'm completely newbie in any midi connections or setup and configuration, and just trying to put my DIY e-drums work with MD and Addictive drums. So the questions are so many and some sound stupid, but please be patient with me.
I just received my bought Megadrum, connect it to my PC with USB and try to trigger it with a piezo on a jack cable.
First time when i hit the piezo with my finger, a bar was rising in lcd screen. So the MD receiving the signal. When i tried it again, after a few hours, nothing happened! I tried to hit the piezo so hard, and sometimes a tiny signal appeared in LCD.
What happened?

From http://www.megadrum.info/content/megadrum-configuration:

General info about MegaDrum Menu
Miscellaneous settings
HiHat Pedal settings
Pads settings
Setting up a Roland style 3 zone cymbal
Setting up a Yamaha style 3 zone cymbal
Configuration tips and hints.
How MegaDrum users do it.
MegaDrum Manager

did you look into "Pads settings"?

Thanks i found it, but the problem still remains.
I tried another piezo, and the first 2-3 times that i hit it, i get a signal as strong as i hit the piezo. After that, no more signal! This happens in any input.
I have connected piezos to female jack and with a male-male jack cable to Megadrum.

Did you do anything with it after you found it?

I work it through Megadrum Manager.Don't know if i did it correct, but after checking "Use same In/Out" in Megadrum USB Midi, I check the HighLevel Auto in every pad, and try.
Then unchecked all and did another try.Still nothing.

Did you send settings from MDM to MegaDrum?
Did you verify settings in MegaDrum iteslf?
What HighLevel do you have on an input in question?

Yes i sent them from Manager to Megadrum. If the box is checked, every input in Megadrum is "Yes". When unchecked in Manager they are all in "No".Either situation, i get no signal.
