All is built and the only thing in have lefto do is attach the pic18f2550. Plugged it into the USB port on my mac to check the screen and everything and have noticed that the first block on the 16x2 is always on full. I have yet to connect my inputs and stuff also. As it stands the at mega 644 is as is from yourself an have yet to install the firmware is this likely to be the cause??

Atmega644 from comes loaded with the latest firmware version. If your LCD does show menu or VU meters than it means you have a problem with the board or LCD.

At the moment I don't have any input hacks attached could it be a case that they are not grounding ??

LCD must work without anything on inputs.

It does come on how's the megadrum sign then goes to the vu Meters of which the order is on full. Just out of interest is this likely to be for the hi hat control ??
