MBNote, BNote, ABNote, DBNote, PBNote are notes for the 3rd zone, you can see it in http://www.megadrum.info/content/pads-settings.
Please post all notes (including MBNote, BNote, ABNote, DBNote, PBNote) and DualHead settings for both Aux1H and Aux1R as seen in MegaDrum itself.
Get Aux1H/1R settings from MegaDrum to MDM and make a screenshot showing received settings.

Attached is the picture of the MDM settings.
Her are my setting for the Megadrum
Aux1H
..MNote 77
..Note 77
..ANote 77
..PNote 77
..Dual Head = No

Aux1R
..MNote 8
..Note 8
..ANote 8
..PNote 8
..Type = Switch
..MBNote = 0
..BNote = 0
..ABNote = 0
..DBNote = 0
..PBNote = 0
(..DualMidPoint = X, ..DualMidWidth=X, ..BThreshold = 112)

These settings cause my (Piezo) trigger for
Aux1H = 77
Aux1R = 0

Why Aux1R Type is set to Switch?

Is the RIM a switch? (Aha...I was only looking on the picture) I would guess when using the type "single piezo" for the head trigger is wrong. The right selection should be "dual" type to be the right one...if you want to use the RIM trigger at all for either Piezo or Switch.

To be honest - I don't know what is happening, if using the RIM disabled but some values is entered...(anyway - the piezo type is grayed...)

Best Regards

Dmitri/Angr77;
Thanks for the replies.
I didn't notice that Aux1R was set to Switch when I wrote down the settings. But, this appears to be another disconnect between the MDM and the Megadrum; that I'm' experiencing.
I think the main disconnect is the Megadrum is playing the PBNote; as I've discovered when I change the notes for the 3rd zone section. But wanted to show a simpler setup, which just shows when having two single zone Piezos. Let me know if you'd like a different detail or if I should attempt another approach.

Thanks.. Alex.

Forget about MDM for now. Is it a piezo or a switch connected to Aux1R? If it is a piezo, set Type to Piezo on Aux1R and reproduce the problem.

Dmitri;
It's a Piezo. I changed: Aux1R, Type = Piezo
It still produces a 0 when the Aux1R is triggered.

Now after you set it to Piezo in MegaDrum:
1. Pull the config from MegaDrum to MDM and make a screenshot of the settings.
2. Make a screenshot of the MIDILog showing Note 0 triggering when you hit Aux1R.
3. Again in MegaDrum set all 3rd zone notes (BMNote) to 1.
4. Pull the config from MegaDrum to MDM and make a screenshot of the settings.
5. Make a screenshot of the MIDILog showing Note 1 (or any other note) triggering when you hit Aux1R.

Dmitri;
now it works. I don't know what happened. There was some power cycles I did on the Megadrum; but I did those before as well. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it happens again, I'll be sure to do the steps and screenshot you requested.
Thanks.. Alex

Hi everybody,

I have the problem that my Midi Ports are not loaded on startup of MDM. I have to reconfigure them every time I fire up MDM.

Now I had a look into the sourcecode and found out that the lines

Code: Select all
MidiInName = prop.getString("MidiInName", MidiInName);
MidiOutName = prop.getString("MidiOutName", MidiOutName);

in Class ConfigOptions produce this error. If the midi port name contains a komma, the getString-method from the class PropertiesConfiguration cuts the string off at the komma. In my case, I have something like "MIDI [hw: 1, 0, 0]" as midi port name, and so it is cut to "Midi [hw: 1".

As a workaround, I have found out that escaping the komma with like this --> "\," in the megadrummanager.cfg makes it work again, but for future releases of MDM I think it would better be fixed in the sourcecode. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance and greetings,
Frank
