I don't have MIDI interfaces with comma in their names so I cannot test it myself.

At the start of copyFromPropertiesConfiguration put the following lines:

Code: Select all
      prop.setListDelimiter((char)0);
      try {
         prop.refresh();
      } catch (ConfigurationException e) {
         // TODO Auto-generated catch block
         e.printStackTrace();
      }

Test if it fixes the problem and if it does I will update MDM to include the fix.

Hi Dmitri,

wow, that fixed it, indeed! :D

Thank you for this! It's great so see that you also care about the minority of linux users here (or should I better say for me alone?).

Greetings,
Frank

Problem:
Megadrum Manager (mdm.jnlp) did NOT open with Java 10 update 45(x64) on windows 7 64 bit.
The mini Megadrum splash screen opens. But then...
After warning me about the Unknown publisher, I checked the box and then Run.
Nothing opens.

FIX:
I reverted back to Java 7 update 13(x64) by uninstalling Java first, then installing the older version.
http://www.oldapps.com/java.php
Megadrum Manager now opens.

Hope this helps. :D

I will abandon Java Web start before January because Oracle introduces too strict certificate checks without possibility to import custom Root certificates.
I'll be switching to providing .exe for Windows, .app for Mac and .jar for Linux.

Really? You will providing a executive MDM version for windows systems which do not need any more java script?

Well done! That's fine! I'll hate java so much. In my opinion java is unreliably and unstably on windows systems. Would be fine to see this.

Thank you very much with best regards

It will still be a Java program wrapped into .app or .exe but since I provide MDM source code anybody is welcome to develop native Mac/Windows/Linux versions.

Dmitri,
The 'custom pad names' and 'config names' are not displaying the tick, either on start up or 'load all'. Opening the mds file in notepad, and it says true. The custom names are loading, there is no operational problem, just thought I'd mention it.

Also, when using max curve the display bar in MD stays on unless 127 velocity is triggered and then it subsides. Once again, just thought I'd mention it.

I just uploaded a new MDM version. I believe custom pads and config names when loading a config from a file is fixed now.
