Hello Megadrum-Forum,
recently I got the Full Megadrum ARM Kit and the positional sensing board from Dmitri.
I already build it in a case, which was a lot of work (pictures will follow)
But now I have to wire the input jacks. And the more I am reading here, the more confused I am.
Maybe you can help me a bit, by answering a few question.
I am refering to the newest instruction manual:
http://www.megadrum.info/sites/default/ ... manual.pdf
It it right, that I have to wire head/bow to ring and rim/edge to tip?
I would made it intuitively the other way round, for instance if you
connect a mono-pad with a mono-cable it would connect to rim and not to
head. Because a mono-jack in a stereo-socket only tip and sleeve are
connected. (ring and sleeve are short circuited.)
And I saw megadrum schematics (or instruction manuals) here which are the other way round ( Head to Tip and Rim to Ring).
On which inputs is positional sensing possible?
Here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1215&start=120
Dmitri wrote, that at the arm megadrum module positional sensing is possible an all even inputs.
But that makes noch sense to me.
Because in the instruction manual all even inputs are rim imputs.
For example an page 7:
Input 33 is Snare Head (odd number)
Input 34 is Snare Rim (even number).
Did I get something wrong?
Thanks for your help.
Greetings
